Students will learn to utilize the powerful support of breath to tap into their core center, harness energy, build strength, and increase flexibility, allowing them to find balance and clarity, on and off the mat. The foundation of the class sequencing lies in Forrest Yoga, yet draws inspiration from several yoga styles, and mentors. Students receive gentle, yet powerful adjustments, teaching them how to explore each pose, and tap into the body's wisdom; using a hands-on teaching method that provides support in opening space, which offers deep healing in body, mind, and spirit.
Meet the Instructor: Niki Nadeau
I started practicing yoga almost 5 years ago; immediately I felt things starting to shift for me and have had a love affair with yoga ever since. For me, yoga has a powerful way of bringing to light the things I have inside me, both the scary and the beautiful. I enjoy growing my personal practice by attending classes regularly, traveling for yoga retreats and trainings, practicing meditation, journaling, and reading books that encourage personal growth – all in my quest towards enlightenment. Even with all of that I recently found myself wanting more; I decided to take the leap, go through yoga teacher training, and step into the teaching role. My goal as a teacher is to cultivate a safe space for personal exploration and liberating your inner warrior.
I love summer rainstorms, elephants, chocolate, laughter, and hugs.
