More information on composting and the auction will be coming home in this Tuesday's folder.
This week is teacher appreciation week at McKinley. The teacher appreciation committee has been hard at work planning to make sure the McKinley teachers feel the love this week. Below is a schedule of events.

Tuesday: Pizza lunch will be provided
Wednesday: Notes of appreciation from the students will be delivered to the teachers
Thursday: Home made waffle breakfast

Spring Concert Bake Sale Is Coming Soon!
Hello McKinley Families! The Spring Concert bake sale is coming up on Tuesday, May 10th. The proceeds from this bake sale go towards the 5th grade graduation celebration. This sale is a great opportunity to help offset the cost of the celebration so we would really appreciate your help in the form of baked goods!
Please consider baking or buying treats to be sold at the sale. Goods should be in small packages and ready for sale. It's also very helpful if the baked goods are labeled if they contain nuts or dairy. There will be a table outside of the office on 05/10 for you to drop off your baked goods. We would like to have all items by the end of the school day but if needed, you can bring your items to the tables outside the gym by 6:30 p.m. on 5/10.
Thank you for considering to help with the Spring Concert bake sale!
Spring Box Tops Competition
LABELS NEED TO BE TURNED IN BY JUNE 1, 2016!
In the past few years participation in Labels for Education® has declined and as a result, Campbell has come to the very difficult decision to wind down the LFE program.
The program will continue exactly as is for the remainder of the 2015-2016 LFE program year. There will be changes for next year’s program starting August 1, 2016. As the Coordinator for our school, my goal is to ensure that we maximize our opportunities to earn points before the conclusion of the program. Continue to Clip and Submit UPCs and Beverage/Sauce Caps, as all participating products listed are still accepted through July 31, 2016. The deadline for schools to trade points for products is July 31, 2016.
Therefore, I ask that you please submit all your Labels for Education Beverage/Sauce Caps and UPCs by June 1, 2016. This will allow enough time to count, process and redeem the points for products for the school.
Thank you for all of your help and for being a part of the LFE program. Please reach out with any questions on LFE program changes or timing.
Thank You!
Carolyn Callahan
