Lab 304: Formative Assessment Gone Google

Formative assessment is a key part of the learning process. Come explore digital tools that can give you a snapshot of what your students understand. We will play with Kahoot, Socrative, Plickers, Quizziz, & Answer Garden. You will have time to explore each of these digital tools. Once you choose the one you would like to use, you will have time to create an assessment to be used in your classroom.

Lab 314: Phenomenal & Functional Forms: Unleash the Power of Google Forms

Become a data commander! Explore the numerous possibilities available with the powerful survey building tool in Google. You will complete a Google Form and then examine how the tool can be used for many purposes on a campus level and in a classroom. Then we will unlock data analysis, using forms as an assessment and the grading add-on Flubaroo. You will create your own Google Form that you can use back at school. Be prepared to be saluted in PLCs Monday! Participants are encouraged to bring their "analog", paper questionnaires or content quizes so your experience is tailored to the needs of your own classroom.

Lab 611: Perform Some Digital Learning Magic with QR Codes

QR Codes are pixelated bar codes that are digital magic for teaching and learning, however they are possibly one of the most underused of new and powerful technologies. QR codes are easy to make. Teachers and Adminstrators can use them for everything from running scavenger hunts to polling students or staff. Let students get in on the magic by linking QR codes to their creations, recordings, videos, explanations of how their work demonstrates mastery of a standard, and more. Come and find out how to increase student learning by incorporating QR Codes into your magic bag of tricks.
