CIS NEWSLETTER
February 28, 2022
Hello and Welcome to March
For the month of March, students will be able to attend Super Student if they have ZERO red referrals and only ONE yellow referral. We know that our students can meet this expectation and we appreciate your partnership with PBIS.

Attendance/Drop Off and Pick Up
Please remember that students are NOT to be released from vehicles until 8:35 each morning. We do not have staff outside monitoring until 8:35 and this is when we have our crossing guard to help students cross the drop off lane.
We have been having issues at the end of the day with students being called out of class early. It is our obligation to protect instructional time. Our teachers are teaching until the end of each day. Beginning October 26, 2021 if you need to get your child out of school early you will have to pick up your child by 3:00pm. This will be considered a half day absence. If you do not pick up your child by 3:00 they will be called out of class at 3:25 for pick up. Parents will need to use the everyday pickup line while staying in their vehicles. If students have changes to end of day transportation we will make that announcement at 3:20.

Dear Clio Intermediate Parents and Guardians,
Conferences are quickly approaching. Conferences this fall will be held on Tuesday, March 15th from 5-7:00 pm and Thursday, March 17th from 1-4 pm and 5-7 pm.
We have been using an online scheduling system that has been working well for us. This is to help simplify scheduling for parents and teachers!
You are invited to sign up for Spring Conferences at:
https://ptcfast.com/schools/Clio_Intermediate
Once you get to the web address, you will be asked for your child’s teacher as well as contact information. You will then be able to select a date and time for your conference.
If you do not have Internet access, please send a note to your child’s teacher with requested times.
Clio Intermediate Parent/Teacher conference goal is always to have 100% participation! Please make an appointment and come talk to your child’s teacher about his/her successes and challenges so we can partner to make your child’s education the best that it can be!
Educationally Yours,

Active School Challenge
Parents & Caregivers,
Our school is happy to announce our upcoming participation in the 2022 Active Schools Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to encourage physical activity and allow Genesee County Schools the opportunity to take part in some “healthy” competition. The Challenge runs March 1st – March 25th. The schools that win the challenge by being the most active will be awarded a monetary donation that can be used towards health and wellness programs for our school. Students that reach the goal of an average of 30 minutes of physical activity per day are also eligible for prizes such as gift cards, bowling passes, movie tickets, and more! Please encourage your child to track their physical activity both in and out of the classroom on their tracking sheet each week during March. All results will be anonymous and names of students are only utilized to distribute prizes through our school. We appreciate your support for this challenge.
Thank you,
Jaclyn Stewart
