Artist of the Month is an RCS High School program that acknowledges an art student each month. The Artist of the Month is a student who comes to class each day ready to learn, participates in class, is dedicated to their projects, and has a positive attitude. For our final celebration of Youth Art Month, the RCS Art Department is recognizing one Artist from each of the schools this month! Those students are:

• A.W. Becker: Kendra Frodyma
• Pieter B. Coeymans: Hayley Biel
• Middle School: Paige Castagna
• High School: AJ Smith

During the month of March students at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School have been using their reading skill sets to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR).

Together the school community was able to raise $1,132 for the RMHC-CR!! Huge thank you to everyone who supported their efforts!!

• Class of 2023 -- Bottle and Can Collections: Bring your empty bottles and cans to Just Makes Cents at 2381 Route 9W in Ravena and ask them to apply your total to the Class of 2023 account. The fundraiser runs all year long.

• Class of 2023 -- Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser: Join us in the fun and send our flock to friends, neighbors, & family members! Unsuspecting loved ones will walk out their front door to their yard full of our flock of pink flamingos! Flocks will rest for 24 hours in each location, where that person will choose to either “flock it on” to someone else or simply have them removed. Participate now through the end of May.
