Link and Learn Friday
Friday May 30
Classroom
TED ED - Their library of video lessons "Math in Real life" uses creative video to communicate math concepts in a whole new way. I've heard many people say "when am I ever going to use this math in real life?" some of these videos may be the answer to that question and help students to think about the math in terms of real everyday usefulness.
Don't stop at the math, there are hundreds of Ted-ED videos on numerous subjects, look through the creatively titled navigation list in the left-hand column at the link below.
APPS
These three apps are great starters for elementary students to learn how to code. The apps guide you through problem solving and sequencing in order to get the game to work. It's a great way to play a game and learn a new skill. These is not limited to kids! although some are easier than others, adults can have fun solving the puzzles too, this is a great activity for groups and families to do together.

Just for Fun
This site provides everything you need to setup a custom volunteer sign up or RSVP invite. I really liked that you can list specific tasks for people to sign up for in addition to, or in place of time slots. Great for fundraising events, sports, family get togethers or clubs.
The site has pages and pages of themes and takes you through the setup step by step. Email your list or send out your link. A really fun and EASY way to organize your event.
