Administrator Spotlight - Arlene Wallace
Laptops were delivered at Mayo two weeks ago and we have been seeing some amazing things happening at Mayo already!
Awesome Job!
Rhett Hughes' (DHS) students are creating campaign commercials. The students were required to mention four political issues, and it had to be between 30 seconds and a minute.
Charissa Lannan's (MST) students used the iPads to create clay animations in her Animation class. Results were some great projects.
Lynn O'Donnell (MST) has started using the iPads for the students to be able to access classroom materials online and to visit online museums for different types/styles of art.

Website of the Week: Quizlet
What is Quizlet exactly? We start with flash cards. Students can make their own, or choose from millions of flash cards sets created by others. But that’s just the beginning – once you’ve got flashcards, you can use several study modes including multiple choice tests and study games. You can add images and listen to audio, and even study on the go with one of dozens of Quizlet-compatible mobile apps.
Recently released....Quizlet Live! This is an in-class, team-based learning game based on any Quizlet study set. Students are randomly paired into teams of 3-4 students to race against other teams. Each team must work together to clear their board, and the first team to do so wins. Really Cool!
App of the week: Pic Collage
It is a wonderful way to create vocabulary thinking maps.
