Scherr's Scoop
Waving Goodbye to 2015
Thank you for a fabulous finale!
The year 2015 ended with a flourish of fantastic opportunities to learn and grow, both academically and as a classroom community. I am very proud of this group of fifth graders. They show compassion for each other, as well as, a determined work ethic toward their studies. The GRIT skits that they wrote and performed for 1st and 3rd grade went off without a hitch, and they created positive character trait Secret Scherr posters for a classmate using Office 365. Thank you for supporting them at home! Please enjoy the following pictures and snippets. I've also included a sneak peak of what will be next in 2016 :)
Warm regards,
Mrs. Scherr

During Theme 2: Seeking the Unknown, we learned explorers yearn to discover what's out there. We will be returning to more nonfiction reading on this topic and completing inquiry research later this month.
For the first couple weeks in January, we will travel back to Revolutionary America in the novel, Toliver's Secret. Here we will meet a young person who embarks on a dangerous journey!
