Let's Get This Party Started!
As we begin ramping up activities, recognitions and celebrations for the Class of 2022, we are introducing our Senior Source newsletter! This will keep students, parents, and staff updated on all Senior Activities & Events throughout the remainder of the school year.
I believe we have 50 days left until Graduation, and they will fly by. Seniors make the most of these final months. Participate in the fun activities planned, enjoy your classes, make good decisions and keep working hard until you cross that finish line.
Please make sure to review the information below as a family. Keep an eye out for future Senior Source newsletters, as we will be sending them regularly to make sure you have the up to the minute info. As always, we are here to answer any questions you might have. Do not hesitate to reach out to me or our AP of Activities, Carly Adams.
We Are Better Together!

Graduation Attire & Regalia
At NPHS each graduate is to wear a black graduation gown, cap, a 2022 tassel, and a 2022 NPHS Class Stole to the graduation ceremony. Individual students may receive specific academic recognition stoles/cords/pins for accomplishments they have made at NPHS. Those students will be recognized at the Senior Recognition Night on May 23rd, and they will receive their regalia there.
Our CVUSD Board Policy states that any graduating student who has completed basic training and is an active member of any branch of the United States Armed Forces may, at the student's option, wear a military dress uniform at the ceremony (Education Code 35183.3). Any student who has officially enlisted shall be permitted to wear a recognized object provided by any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
Students shall be permitted to wear tribal regalia or recognized objects of religious or cultural significance as an adornment to the customary ceremonial attire, as long as the adornment does not cause a substantial disruption of, or material interference with, the graduation ceremony (Education Code 35183.1). “Adornment” means something attached to, or worn with, but not replacing, the cap and gown customarily worn at school graduation ceremonies. “Cultural” means recognized practices and traditions of a certain group of people.
Students are not permitted to decorate their caps, or have any other adornments without prior administrative approval. Students who desire to wear military dress or any cultural/religious adornments shall notify the school principal at least 14 days before the graduation (May 26) for approval.
