SH Tennis
The SH tennis team had a successful zone tourney on May 30 in Red Deer. The team consisting of Rainier Bernard, Kayde Sherman, Jace Shannon, Kasey Adams and Joss Forster combined to win a total of 5 games and have a lot of fun. Jace and Kayde finished up as consolation champs! Very proud of our team as we were the only 1a school in the competition:)

Below is a small sample of the over 75 pieces of artwork that were on display!

Spring Concert
On June 7, Forestburg School students entertained a packed audience with fun performances and lively music! K-6 students performed on stage in between selections from the Gr 7, 8/9, and High School Bands. To quote an audience member, “(There were) lots of different genres of music, cuteness galore, funny enough to make me laugh out loud, entertaining, amazing, and all ‘round soul-filling time!”

Grade 5/6 Election and Field Trip
The grade 5/6 class has been learning a lot about provincial politics in light of the provincial election. They had the opportunity to participate in the provincial wide CIVIX student vote and were able to cast their ballots for our local candidates. They also have the opportunity to set up a voting station and fill the positions of election officers and scrutineers. All students were able to watch a pre- recorded question and answer session that addressed concerns presented by students' our age. With 28 voters, we had the following results:
Bob Blayone (independent) - 5 votes
Richaurd Bruneau (NDP) - 3 votes
Pamela Henson Wildrose Loyalty Coalition - 0 votes
Jackie Lovely (UCP) - 20 votes
In our constituency, the UCP won but provincially the Student Vote results sang orange. It was a very interesting procedure.
Later that week we continued to expand our provincial learning by touring the Provincial Legislative Buildings and participate in a mock debate where students were again given opportunity to fill roles and present a bill we had made up reflecting the impact of the "affordability crisis"
After the educational portion of our trip, we were able to attend ACTIVATE, a highly interactive activity area, which we all LOVED! Thank you to all the volunteers: Krista Kuefler, Renee Matuya- Stribbell, Megan Michaleu, Kyla Forster, Dez Strauss and Shannon Grymaloski. Thanks also to the fundraising efforts of our community to support this trip!
