Parks Press for Parents

Rosa Parks/Millbrook ISSDA

February 1-5, 2021

Our Mission

The staff of Rosa Parks/Millbrook in collaboration with parents and community, will pursue excellence as we walk in our purpose to develop the whole child, academically and socially, and ensure that all students take responsibility for their learning and reach self-sustaining success.

Our Vision: Every Student a Success!

#BeReflective #BeAppreciative

February is a month of reflection and appreciation. As we celebrate Black History Month, we Honor our past by reflecting on the sacrifices of others on our behalf. We celebrate the present, by remaining engaged in our communities, state, and nation paying attention to our present leaders and how they are working on our behalf. We inspire our future leaders by continuing to offer current and relevant learning experiences that help them develop the gifts that lie within.

We begin our celebration of Kindness Month by celebrating our "Kind Counselor", Ms. Catanach. Our school counselor does so much for our students, staff, and community, we want to show our appreciation in a great way. You can help us by sending her a message of appreciation by email or voice mail. Help your child create a card to share with Ms. Catanach. Prepare a poster and participate in a drive by celebration on Thursday, February 4. Which ever way works best for you and your family, please join us in showing love for one who consistently provides guidance and support for us all academically, socially, emotionally, and mentally.

Stay engaged throughout the month to see how we will celebrate by Black History Month and Kindness Month as we build children, character, and community everyday.

Building Children, Character, and Community Everyday

“A hundred years from now it will not matter, what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove; but the world would be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
