Senior Final Exemption
For this school year, High school graduating seniors who have an overall “A” average, 90% or greater, will be exempt from taking local semester examinations for the second semester except when an EOC Assessment is required. High school graduating seniors who have an “A” average, 90% or greater, in a specific course may be exempt from taking a local second semester examination on a course-by-course basis.
Peachtree Ridge Leadership Team
All current 9th-11th grade students are invited to apply to be a member of the Peachtree Ridge Leadership Team (PRLT)! This program is a year-long leadership program where students will learn new leadership skills and implement those ideas throughout our school and community. If students are interested in applying and learning more, please join the Google Class with the code: JTN3WSN. Please see Mrs. DeGuenther in C106 with any questions! Applications are due March 29th.
Gwinnett Science and Engineering Fair Winers
Congratulations to Afreen Ali for being selected to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair! Afreen was awarded a $2,000 grant to continue her research on the effects of bacteriophage topical treatment on bacteria growth. She will present her research to an international audience in Dallas, Texas in May.
Congratulations to Jane Yoo for receiving a $1,000 scholarship for her research in computational biology! Jane used computer models to design various compounds that target proteins necessary for the malaria parasite to infect red blood cells.
Peachtree Ridge Chorus at the Atlanta Braves
The Peachtree Ridge Chorus is singing the National Anthem at the Atlanta Braves game on July 31! Come out to catch a great game at Truist Park and her the Chorus perform! The Chorus is selling tickets for a reserved Peachtree Ridge section at the game for $18. Tickets can be purchased using this link. Tickets can be picked up and delivered by a Chorus student to you (please put the students' name that you know on the order form) or can be picked up in the PRHS Chorus office.
Peachtree Ridge Literary Magazine Submissions
The Peachtree Ridge Literary Magazine, Paradox, is accepting submissions until next Friday, March 31st. They accept original writing of up to 1000 words (poetry, essay, short story, drama, etc.) and visual art, and the published magazine of student work will be available in May. To submit and get more information, students should join the Google Classroom with code v55zwrc.
Yearbooks Available on MyPaymentsPlus
Yearbooks are available to purchase on MYPAYMENTSPLUS until May 7 @11:59. (Balfour.com presales closed Feb 1). Only 300 additional yearbooks are ordered for Spring distribution. Buy yours today to ensure a copy. Yearbook distribution will happen the week of May 8.
PRHS Prom 2023 Information
Juniors & Seniors are able to purchase Regular Tickets for Prom 2023 on GoFan, from now until April 7, 2023! Must use student ID as promo code. There IS a cap on amount of tickets that will be sold, so don’t delay, purchase today for the best price!

Attire: Formal Wear (shorts & jeans/T-shirts will result in denied entry with no refund)
Tickets: Maximum of two (2) tickets available to purchase per student ID. Tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.

GOFAN for Event Tickets
Sports tickets can only be purchased via GoFan with a credit or debit card to home sporting events. To purchase a home ticket for games please click on PRHS GOFAN. Many other schools are also going touch-less for tickets as well. If they are using GoFan, those tickets will also be available under Peachtree Ridge.
Winterguard Wins First
The Peachtree Ridge Winterguard places first at there competition at Creekview High School last Saturday with their program "Look Up".
Peachtree Ridge High School Dance Team wins 2023 GHSA Dance Championship

Technology Student Association
TSA (Technology Student Association) students competed in about 40 events at the state competition this past weekend. Peachtree Ridge placed in three events. We also have finalist in eleven other events.

Future Business Leaders of America
The following students were placed in the top 10 in the 2023 Georgia FBLA State competition for their E-business project.

Georgia Watercolor Society First Place Art Show
Katie Hwang received 1st Place honors in the Judy Green Memorial Scholarship competition from the Georgia Watercolor Society for her artwork, Window Shopping on Ponce. The Georgia Watercolor Society high school art competition is now folded into the Atlanta Dogwood Festival.
Additionally, Katie has won fourth place in the overall Atlanta High School Art Exhibition. This is the Atlanta Dogwood Festival's high school competition. Katie's work will be on view at the festival in Piedmont Park, April 14-16th.
Pulsera Project
PRHS is partnering with the "Pulsera Project," a non-profit organization working to educate, empower, and connect students to skilled artisans throughout Central America through the sale of hand woven bracelets, or 'pulseras,' in Spanish. 100% of funds are reinvested back into these communities in order to create lasting change.

2023 PRHS Graduation DVD

Volunteer Hours Due May 1st
2023 Graduates! All volunteer hours must be entered into the system by May 1, 2023. All hours entered as of this date will be used to determine if a cord is earned. To input volunteer hours, you must sign into your school email account and click on this Volunteer Hour Form to access the input form.

BookMobile 5K: May 6th
The Book Mobile 5K will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the ISC to support literacy! Early bird registration is $25 until April 1, 2023. Register at bookmobile5k.com. There is a fun run as well as family discounts.
Car Show at the ISC to support Relay for Life
