‘GROWING GREATNESS / GRANDEZA EN CRECIMIENTO'
Student-Led Goal Setting Conferences & Individual Conferences
The week of October 17-20 Baker Prairie will be holding virtual student led goal setting conferences with students, parents/guardians and your student’s advisory teacher through ZOOM. In this conference, your student will explain some of the goals they have set for this year and some of the challenges they may face in reaching those goals. Early in the year is a great time to make sure parents/guardians and teachers are all aligned and ready to provide guidance and support. Your advisory teacher will also be able to let you know about Baker Prairie resources that will help your student be successful. Your student’s Advisory teacher will be reaching out through email with information for you to sign up for you 15 time slot. Thank you for taking the time to attend this meeting.
In addition to the student-led Goal Setting Conferences, parents/guardians may also want to meet with individual teachers or a teacher may request to meet with you. Teachers will be emailing out information for you to sign up for an individual virtual conference time the week of October 17-20 through ZOOM. These conferences will be no more than 5-7 minutes long. It is best if the student is present so that they can participate in the discussion and provide their perspective.
MEET OUR DIFFERENCE MAKERS:

ART/BAND/CTE/MUSIC STAFF
We are so excited to introduce you to: Mrs. Anderson (ART), Mr. Feely (GENERAL MUSIC), Mr. Barrett (CTE) and Mr. Paulus (BAND). If students have Mr. Paulus, they have Band all year. Students who are not in Band, have 12 weeks each of ART/CTE/MUSIC. We are excited that our students can experience such variety.

LEARNING ACROSS BAKER PRAIRIE
WILSONVILLE SUBARU ADOPTS SCIENCE CLASSES AT BPMS
Wilsonville Subaru has adopted the Science classes at BPMS. Each teacher was gifted with a box of supplies, milkweed seeds to grow to attract butterflies (using the same box) and a monetary amount to purchase science supplies. We are excited about this partnership and grateful to Wilsonville Subaru.
Each month, Canby School District and the Canby Kiwanis Club will highlight a different school in our district and will recognize a staff member from that school with the CARE Award. [School name] will be highlighted during the month of [Designated month].
