Principal's Post

Dear Guardians and Parents,

Well, families the time has come, the 22-23 school year has come to an end. With the close of the school year comes mixed emotions for us all. For me, this is bittersweet since not only are our 8th graders moving on, I am as well. While I am excited about the new opportunity, I am sad to leave such an amazing student body and staff. I am thankful for the fond memories and relationships made. Rawlinson Road is a special place and will continue to thrive. The home-to-school partnership is a vital part of that success, so please continue to stay involved in your child's learning. It has been an honor to be the Principal of RRMS these last 5 years, thank you families, students, and staff! Once a Raider Always A Raider:)

Warm Regards,

Heather Andrus

Counselor's Corner

RRMS is fortunate to have three competent and caring school counselors.

Ms. Atkinson is the school counselor for students in the 6th grade.

Dr. McNeal is the school counselor for students in the 7th grade.

Mrs. Cunningham is the school counselor for students in the 8th grade.

Message from Dr. McNeal

I joined Raider Nation in the fall of 1998 as a 6th grader on Team 6-2. I later rejoined in 2017 as the 6th grade school counselor. It has truly been amazing being a part of the Raider family. We have experienced new beginnings, high and lows, suffered through a pandemic, and celebrated numerous triumphs over the years.

I have grown so much as an educator. This week is bittersweet as I depart to reach for another goal. With me I will be taking all the lessons learned and cherished memories from all of you.

I will be leaving my rising 8th graders in the care of Mrs. Cunningham, our current 8th grade counselor. Her contact information is below, and she is looking forward to serving you all.

Have a wonderful summer!!

Dr. McNeal
