Parent Safety Commitment

In order for Woodland Park Academy to stay open and to add more "seated" instruction, it will take ALL of us to do our part in staying healthy and stopping any spread of illness.

If your child has any of the following symptoms, REMAIN AT HOME.

  • SYMPTOMS: Fever or chills, Shortness of breath, rapid or difficulty breathing, Cough, Fatigue, Muscle or body ache, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion, Runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea, Flushed cheeks

  • Families are encouraged to check their child’s temperature at home every morning using oral, tympanic, or temporal scanners’. Students with a temperature of 100.4 or greater should stay home until the symptom subsides.

  • If students develop any of the above-mentioned symptoms at school, they will be quarantined until a parent/guardian picks the student up from school. Students WILL NOT be allowed to ride the bus home. Students will need to self-quarantine for 10 days until symptom-free or unless there is an alternative diagnosis from a physician.

  • Any COVID-19 positive cases or probable cases should be reported to the school immediately.

  • All COVID-19 exposures will be reported to the Genesee County Health Department, which will contract-trace school/student exposures and provide guidance for isolation or quarantine protocol.

  • Students will join the remote schedule when quarantined or home due to illness.

Medication

Medications can be dropped off to school this week M-F 8 am-3 pm. If you are not able to drop medication off before the first day, please complete the form below and send it with your child to school. Let your child's teacher know so that it can be collected and turned into the office.
