Carthage ISD Technology Department February 2015

Are you attending the TCEA convention Feb. 2-6?

If you are, congratulations! If not, you can still get lots of great information for innovative teaching and learning by following the conference on Twitter at hashtag #learnanywhere or #tcea15. Vendors, presenters, and attendees will be posting links to websites, handouts, etc. If you aren't there, this is the next best thing. Just think, no Austin traffic, no hikes to and from the convention center, and no trying to find a parking space. You can attend during your conference period, in the comfort of your own home, and at a time convenient for you. Check it out! #learnanywhere or #tcea15

Message from the Director

Hello CISD! Happy February!

Please remember that anytime you need technology help in your classroom, click to put in a technology ticket. If you need help with your computer, projector, SmartBoard, wireless, etc., this is the place to report what you need. If you need quotes or need anything setup for an event, please also put in a ticket for these needs. This site is an excellent way to track progress on your needs and it doesn't get buried in email.

Hope you have had a chance to work on your PLN, Professional Learning Network. If not, this month is a great time to start. The TCEA convention kicked off early this morning and already lots of posts about sessions are showing up on Twitter. Go to #learnanywhere or #tcea15 to see if you can learn something new this week to use in your classroom. If you follow these hashtags on hootsuite.com or tweetdeck.com, it makes it easier to follow just the streams for the convention. Let me know if you need help and I can visit you on your conference period.

If you have a topic that you would like for me talk about in Tech Bytes, feel free to email me. I want to talk about things that interest you.

Have a great month! If I can ever be of assistance to you and your technology needs, don't hesitate to call or email.
