A Message from our Principal
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,
My heart is full of gratitude for the Annual Fund contributions that HFCS received through your generosity on North Texas Giving Day; we received $14,635.00! Our Annual Fund goal this year is $20,000.00, and we are almost there!
Our Book Fair is ready to go and the library is open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Wednesday, and until noon on Thursday!
HFCS is very excited about Grandparents Day, this Thursday, September 26! See more details below.
Parent Teacher Conferences are this Friday, September 27; teachers have sent you links to SignUp Genius to help you schedule conference times easily. There is no school that day and no Extended Care. Students are required to attend the meetings with their parents or guardians in the uniform of their choice.
Mrs. Szostek’s Second Grade class demonstrates how reading, writing and learning work together!
Our Sixth Grade math scholars taught me a few things about fractions when I stopped in to visit their class today. Did you know that it is possible to multiply two numbers and get a smaller number as the answer? For instance, 8 x 1/2 = 4.
I’m looking forward to seeing you during this busy week at our Book Fair, Grandparents Day and Parent Teacher Conferences!
Teaching the Way of Jesus Christ,
Ann Walters

I teach at Holy Family Catholic School because I believe in the way HF supports the growth of children. My four children graduated from HFCS. HFCS provides a safe environment, strong academics, service projects, and a community centered on families. We are in this together. Teaching at HFCS allows me to create in children a love of God and a love of learning!
The Book Fair is here through Thursday, September 26.
Grandparents' Day
If grandparents (or, parent) are joining us for Mass this Thursday, they may sit with their grandchildren (children) by waiting in our cafeteria after students are dismissed to their homerooms (about 7:45am).
Here is what to expect for the day...
- Grandparents arrive by 8:00 am and come to the school cafeteria.
- As the homerooms are passing through the cafeteria, grandparents (or parents) will meet up with their grandchild.
- Students and grandparents proceed through the hallway to the Church and sit together for Mass. Students whose grandparents are unable to attend will sit with their class.
- After Mass, students and grandparents will be given instruction on where to go after performances by the band and music students.
- The reception will be in the cafeteria as the gym floor is not quite ready. The Book Fair is in the library.
- We anticipate wrapping up the morning around 11:15 am. If your student is leaving for the day with their grandparents, it is essential that the grandparents are listed in Renweb as an authorized agent to pickup. Grandparents will also be required to sign their grandchild/children out in the school office.
Parent volunteers are needed to help with the reception set up starting at 7:30 am in the kitchen. Please call or email Lisa Griffith at 817.737.4201 or lgriffith@hfsfw.org.
