Hello Mustangs!

I hope you are all beginning to enjoy some of the warm weather we’ve had! It is nice to see kids outdoors playing and people outdoors enjoying springtime activities. With May on the horizon, there have been questions about end of the year celebrations. AMS administration and staff will be planning an 8th grade event to honor our 8th graders as they become Freshmen at Avondale High School.

We all look forward to returning to the days where the words social distancing and masking up are not a part of our planning process or celebratory events, or events in general. Currently, AMS administration and staff have begun planning for this event with support from the AMS PTO. More information on this event will be distributed in the next two weeks.

Today and Monday, AMS is heading to the elementary schools to welcome our new 6th graders! We brought 2 elementary Alumni to each Elementary so they could answer questions and offer opportunities for our current AMS students to lead, share their experiences, and inform the 5th graders of how AMS works and functions through the eyes of a student. We are very excited to greet them at AMS in August!

Please remember to check your email and text messages from AMS in the month of May so you can stay informed and up to date with all the news and events.
