New Announcements

NHS: The 1st meeting for 2016 is Friday during A (A-L) and B (M-Z) Block lunches. Be there on time AND SIGN IN!

BLOCK LUNCH GUEST SPEAKER: Want to know how you can brand yourself strategically for the right universities and scholarships? E.J. Carrion, Best Selling Author and White House Speaker, can help you self-discover what you want to do after high school, build a portfolio for universities/scholarships, and package that for success. E.J. will be a guest speaker at Jasper on Thursday, January 14th at 12:45pm in room 1100. Please eat lunch before you attend.

STUCO: This is a reminder that point sheets are due this Friday! Turn them into the folder on the STUCO board.

SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS: Counselors are taking schedule change requests for course level changes through Friday, January 15th. There will be no elective changes granted due to class space.

YEARBOOK: Please check the spelling of your name for the Jasper yearbook. Portraits with names are posted in the foyer between the cafeteria doors. If your name is spelled incorrectly, or there is an issue with your portrait, see Mrs. Porst in the Student Center to get it fixed. Portraits will be posted through today until 4:15.

WINTER FORMAL: Your tickets for your winter formal, Starry Nights, City Lights, will be on sale January 25th through the 29th, during block lunch. The tickets are $10, but will go up to $15 at the door, so be sure to get yours early! If you are planning on taking someone from another school, you must pick up a guest form from the Student Center, or check the STUCO board outside of Ms. Mallory’s room. The Guest form is due by the end of the day on Thurs. January 28th.

If you’re planning on asking someone to the big dance, the deadline for your #jhsask submissions is January 22nd. The winner of the most creative “ask” will get two free tickets to the dance.

Feel free to dress as fancy as you want for the dance! Standard attire is a homecoming style dress for girls, and dress slacks and ties for the boys. Dresses may be strapless, or have spaghetti straps, but must still be in tasteful fashion. Join us for music, food, dancing, and a lot of fun! We can’t wait to see you at the big dance on January 30th!
