The story of Sam Houston

Sam Houston was born in Virginia. As he grew older he moved to Tennessee and became a congressman, lawyer, and senator. He decided to travel to Texas in 1832. During his time in Texas he was in the middle of a conflict between Texans and Mexican. He joined the Texan side as a general of the local army. On April 21, 1836, Houston and his a army defeated the General Cos's army. He was soon elected president of the Texas Revolution. After gaining independence from Mexico he became the 2nd president of Texas in 1841. Many years pass till Sam Houston dies Huntsville, Texas.
