Principal’s Message
We made it to Spring Break! And what a week it was at LMS. We put the finishing touches on our Team CoUREage 3.0/Students of the Year Fundraising and students participated in Spirit Days, enjoyed delicious Kona Ice on Tuesday and ended the week with an awesome pep assembly this afternoon. Our students cheered on as their teachers took pies in the face and students faced off in a half-court shot competition. We again appreciate our Student Council for leading our fundraising (and fun!) and all the staff and families supporting this wonderful cause.
IMPORTANT: Please see below for information regarding the upcoming Ohio State Tests which begin the week we return from break on Weds, April 6th with the ELA test. Getting a good night's sleep, a solid breakfast, and coming to school with a charged Chromebook are all ways our students can come to school prepared for their test and we appreciate your help from home in supporting your child's readiness during these testing days. Our students and staff have put in the work all year in and our ready to rock these important measures of our student's growth!
To send positive vibes for testing, the LMS Student Leadership Team has designed theme days during testing. Please see the details below and we hope to see all our students participating and doing their very best!
We hope that all our students have a fun, relaxing, safe, and enjoyable Spring Break. Thank you, families, for all you do!
Go Tigers!

Second Step Social Emotional Learning
At LMS and across Loveland Schools, we want every child to be successful in school and that means supporting and encouraging their whole development. While excelling in academic classes is important, students also need skills to take on learning challenges, make good decisions, handle strong emotions, and get along with others.
This week, LMS students continue with social-emotional learning through the Second Step program, a research-based social-emotional learning program designed to improve students’ social-emotional skills, such as emotion management, impulse control, problem-solving, and empathy.
Through our Tiger Talk, with the purpose of providing this information with our families, we will be communicating “Family Connections” regularly to communicate the social-emotional learning topic and summary as well as a potential question to ask your child at home to continue the learning and connection.

8th Grade SEL Second Step Family Connections
