Join the 20 Day Twitter Challenge!

Part of a month-long celebration for Connected Educators!

What is Connected Educator's Month?

October is Connected Educator's Month! The Connected Educators initiative is dedicated to helping educators thrive in a connected world. Here at D103 we've planned a series of events and experiences to help you on your connected journey. One way to become a Connected Educator is to develop a Personal Learning Network (PLN). Twitter is home to thousands of educators around the globe, just waiting to connect and learn with you!

How does the challenge work?

If you're new to Twitter, and are not sure how to get started, this challenge is for you! Once you accept the challenge, you'll be invited to attend an in-person training session to help you learn the basics of Twitter. A tech coach will guide you through the process of setting up a profile, and will give you a tour of the tools available to you.

Then, you'll be ready to participate in the contest by completing some short, daily challenges. By the end of the 20 day challenge, you'll be well on your way to growing a successful PLN.

How do I participate?

1. Sign up below
2. Attend an optional "Twitter Introduction" workshop (see below)
3. Complete challenges!

Join a Face-to-Face Workshop

If you're participating in D103's 20 Day Twitter Challenge, but don't know how to get started, this workshop is for you. If you already have a Twitter account, but need a refresher course, you're also welcome to attend!

We'll cover the following topics:

  • Navigating your account (web and iOS)
  • Tweet basics - posting a tweet, adding a hashtag, retweeting etc.
  • Resources to keep the learning going after the workshop

In addition, you'll be able to check in with your building's Instructional Technolongy Coach if you need help with any of the challenges.

I can offer some sessions Thursday if none of the above work - let me know.
