MackinVIA Masters - Digital Resource Scavenger Hunt & Buncee
A huge thank you to teams Oregon and Texas Tech for the AMAZING job their students did on the Digital Resource Scavenger Hunt activity they completed in the library. Students participated in a blended learning lesson using video tutorials and hands-on technology activities. Students explored the various components and features of MackinVia and completed their digital scavenger hunt on Buncee. Students who completed 100% of the scavenger hunt were awarded with Buncee & MackinVia Master Certificates! Great job, students!

Digital Books, and Databases, and Tech--OH MY! - Creating MackinVia Backpacks & Inspirational Posters
A huge thank you to Mr. Andrade's World Geography classes for coming to the library to create their MackinVia backpacks. Students are now equipped to check out e-books, audiobooks, and save database articles for their upcoming projects. Students also explored Epic! eBooks and turned their motivational quotes projects into a digital slide. In need of some inspiration? Fall in Love with Reading Book Fair!
The library hosted a "Fall in Love with Reading" Book Fair during the week of Valentine's Day. Students participated in a book fair scavenger hunt to create their book wish lists and entered their work in a book fair raffle for a chance to win free items from the book fair. The book fair helps the library purchase new books for our library collection. We can't wait to add more graphic novels, comic subscriptions, and new fiction! A huge thanks to Library Ambassadors, K. Ortuno, S. Jalomo, and C. Rodriguez for taking the lead on running the fair! Great job, Ambassadors! Lastly, thank you to everyone that stopped by to make this year's book fair a wonderful success!

JEMS Library 2nd Annual eSport Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament
A total of 32 participants put their game faces on this six weeks and competed in this year's Super Smash Bros Ultimate eSport Tournament! Students visited the library during their lunch periods to practice their gaming strategies and competed on Thursday, February 20th. Winners received award medals and gift baskets filled with treats! Participants received certificates and complimentary Nintendo Switch buttons made by our wonderful Library Ambassadors. Congratulations to the following students for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Way to go, gamers!

JEMS Library Fundraiser a Success!
Thank you to all the students and staff that supported their library by purchasing hot cocoa and snacks during the week of January 27th. All funds raised will go to student reading incentives and purchases for materials needed for future library programming. A HUGE shoutout to JEMS Library Ambassadors K. Ortuno, L. Calzada, V. Alonzo, S. Jalomo, and L. Ocana for assisting the librarian with sales! Our fundraiser was a hit! Thank you, Escalante family!

Wakelet Student Ambassadors
JEMS Library Ambassadors are currently working on their Wakelet activities to become an official Wakelet Student Ambassador! Students who complete each task earn badges. Once all badges are earned, students are then awarded with the official Wakelet Student Ambassador badge! This is a great way for students to add to their student portfolios, resumes, and academic experience.
