What are invasive species? Invasive species are an animal or an organism moves away from its habitat to a new habitat. And it affects the native animals by killing the native animals. And the invasive species over populate.
Himalayan Black Berry
The Himalayan Black Berry came into the Okanagan in 1945 a American botanist who prized the plant for its abundant berries. These berries spread along the coast. its scientific name is the Rubus Armeniacus. it is 3 metres high 12 meters long. And it has large leaves.
Eatern Grey Squriel
The Eastern Grey Squirrel came from New York to Vancouver in 1914. Its scientific name is the Sciurus Carolinensis. It often has grey fur but it can also have black or reddish brown with a white under side. It has a long bushy tail 19-25 cm long head-body length 23-30 cm long slightly hairy ears brown face and feet.

Some ways we are getting rid of these invasive species is by Killing them If Its a plant then we spray stuff on them or we could rip them out. if its animal then we would probably transport them back to their natural habitat.
