Falling Into STEM
October 2022
What's happening in STEM?
Students have been working throughout the month of October to strengthen problem solving and teamwork skills by completing Ozobot challenges. Ozobots are a tool that we have here at Bethel that blends the digital and physical world and teaches kids how to program. Students can use colored markers to code the bots or more advanced coders can use the Ozoblockly program.
3rd Grade Science and STEM
3rd Grade has been working on two main science units in which we have integrated STEM. They have been exploring the solar system and learning about patterns of movement within, as well as, engaging in a unit on Earth's landforms and water features.
STEM Club
STEM club is underway and will be working to display STEM tools/activities at the Bethel Elementary Winter Fest!

Makerspace Lab
We are so lucky to have a wonderful space at our school to make and create! Our Makerspace lab is stocked full of supplies for students to invent and create whatever their curious minds can invent. We have carts of robots, iPads, Chromebooks, 3D printers, crafting supplies, legos, and more to provide fun and innovative learning experiences for your children! Although we have lots of fun things, we are always looking for donations through community outreach. If you are looking to donate items that could extend our learning or know of someone who is, contact:
