SPRING BREAK INFORMATION
Georgia Virtual School Peer Tutoring
The GaVS Peer Tutoring Center is looking for qualified tutors in the following courses: Biology, Physical Science, Physics, 9th Grade Literature and Composition, 10th Grade Literature and Composition, American Literature, CCGPS Coordinate Algebra, CCGPS Coordinate Geometry, World History, World Geography, United States History, Latin I, German I, French I, and Spanish I.
Are you interested in helping other students, while enhancing your own knowledge? Is the volunteer work section of your college applications empty? Apply to be a Peer Tutor now by CLICKING HERE!
Requirements for becoming a Peer Tutor are:
- Successful demonstration of mastery in all courses for which tutoring will be offered
- Exceptional organizational and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to engage and inspire peer tutors
- Ability to work effectively with students and tutors from diverse backgrounds
- Experience tutoring preferred, but not required. We will train you!
You must be logged into your GaVS email account to access the Peer Tutor application.
NOTE: Particular areas of need include CCGPS Coordinate Algebra, CCGPS Analytic Geometry, Physics, Latin I, German I, French I, and Spanish I.
EOCT Registration Information: Private and Home School Students
Registration Dates - March 3-April 4, 2014
Registration Deadline- Friday, April 4, 2014
EOCT Test Date- Tuesday, May 6, 2014

HOME SCHOOL AND PRIVATE SCHOOL STUDENTS, who are currently enrolled in the AB or B sections of a GaVS course, which by the state of Georgia, requires an End of Course Test (EOCT) must complete the registration survey. Click Here to view a list of EOCT courses.
REMINDERS
- The EOCT is your final exam. If you miss the EOCT test your final grade will not be released.
- EOCT information will be sent 2 weeks prior to the EOCT test date.
- EOCT information will be sent to parent and facilitator email addresses.
- EOCT information will be sent to all students' GaVS email accounts.

Doodle 4 Google
Doodle 4 Google is searching for a talented doodler whose art work will be displayed on the Google homepage on June 9, 2014. The national winner will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship. The contest theme is “If I Could Invent One Thing To Make The World A Better Place..."
