Parent Square: District-wide Communication Platform
PARENT SQUARE
We are excited to announce the adoption of a new school communication system called Parent Square. This communication platform is designed to keep Wildcat families informed, while encouraging greater parent/guardian engagement and connection with our schools.
All information is now available at your fingertips through your computer or other electronic device. We want to encourage each of you download the ParentSquare App (available for free on any IOS or Android devices).
You can also access this information by going to the lovingtonschools.net website. All you have to do is click on the parent/guardians tab from the Lovington Homepage.
Jefferson Pick-up and Drop-off Procedures
MORNING DROP-OFF PROCEDURES
- The gate will be unlocked at 7:40am DAILY to begin dropping students off.
- Students should not be left unattended before staff opens the gate at 7:40am.
- Parents will drive vehicle through the drop off lane on 3rd street and let student(s) out once in designated drop-off area.
- Please let students out of the vehicles once you are at a complete stop anywhere in the drop-off lane.
- Parents WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to park across the street as this slows down the flow of traffic in the intended drop-off lane.
- Be ALERT and follow directions of staff to ensure line runs quickly, smoothly and most importantly SAFE for our students.
- Students should be packed up and ready to get out of the vehicle to keep the line moving smoothly. (It is best if student sits in the backseat of the passenger side of vehicle.)
- Once vehicle has come to a complete STOP your child may get out of the vehicle.
- We are able to unload 5-6 vehicles at once when procedures are followed, and parents pull all the way up to the 1st available drop off area.
AFTERNOON PICK-UP PROCEDURES
- Students will be ready for pick-up beginning at 3:05pm.
- Parents will stay in their vehicles and line up down 3rd street and onto Jackson. (Do not let the long line scare you! :) It goes pretty quick once everyone learns and follows procedures!)
- Student names will be called out by the CAR TAG provided for you at Meet the Teacher so please keep those signs visible on dashboard of vehicle.
- Parents WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to park across the street as this slows down the flow of traffic in the intended drop-off lane.
- Be ALERT and follow directions of staff to ensure line runs quickly, smoothly and most importantly SAFE for our students.
