Author Visit- Wendy Mass
We are happy to announce that New York Times bestselling author, Wendy Mass, will be visiting FSEMS on April 3rd and April 4th. She has written titles such as "Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life", "Every Soul a Star", and "A Mango Shaped Space". Below is a link to her website. A book signing and meet and greet will also take place during the author visit. If your child would like a book signed, please purchase it independently, and have your child bring it into school on April 3.
eHall Pass Pilot
Starting Monday, March 6, we will begin piloting e-hallpass, a digital hall pass system. It is currently being used at our high school, and we're considering it for our building as well. Essentially, students will create electronic pass requests, which are then approved by the teacher. It is a great tool to support hallway and classroom management.

A special thank you to Shannon Lynch, Director, for her limitless energy, creativity, and passion for all things theatre.
Counseling Corner
Counselors Coaching Perseverance
Our school counselors have been working with students on building the character trait- perseverance. It is such a vital skill that translates to success in school, in work, in sports, and in everyday life! Our students are supported and encouraged to take risks, 'fail forward', and embrace a growth mindset. Please see article below about how you can practice perseverance as a family.
