Hillcrest Read-A-Thon
The Hillcrest Read-a-thon is a monthly incentive program to encourage students to read outside of the regular school day. This year the theme will be…
Scoop up a good book!
The Read-a-thon this year will begin October 1st and run through March 31st.All reading outside of school counts. This includes reading for homework, and reading for pleasure…All reading! Parents…if you or anyone else reads to your child, that counts, too!
Please see the attached FLYER with additional information about the reading program. If you are interested in helping track the reading minutes of students, click HERE. THIS is a copy of the reading calendar where students will keep track of the number of minutes read every day. A copy of these documents were sent home with students today.

A note from our PTO - Parent Teacher Organization
The PTO is proud to sponsor many events throughout the year. We strive to connect the community, create fun times in a safe environment, and raise funds for our staff and classrooms.
All parents/guardians of Hillcrest students, as well as teachers, and staff are considered members of the PTO. As a member, you are welcome to attend the monthly meetings held most 2nd Wednesdays of every month, and are encouraged to volunteer at any PTO event. The PTO’s success depends on your involvement. THIS document is an easy way to see all of the volunteer opportunities and sign up to help!
We are once again continuing the “No Sell Fundraiser” due to the previous successes. Instead of the traditional selling of goods fundraisers where you sell items and the school only gets a small percent of the profits, the No Sell allows all proceeds to go directly to support our children, educators and school. HERE is a link to a donor form that you can share with family members, friends and your workplace.
