Harrington Happenings
September 5, 2021
Good Evening Harrington Families
As with every year at the start there are many logistical elements to the schools operation that takes a few weeks to iron out such as arrival and dismissal, buses and this years return of the cafeteria and ext. day. I can say with the utmost confidence that we will iron out any and all potential wrinkles during these times to again run like a well oiled machine, like we have year in and year out.
Your patience, support and understanding is always appreciated and always needed during this transitional period of the year. As always, we appreciate all that everyone does for the Harrington community and for the continued support during this new school year.
Please reach out to me or Karen with any questions or concerns as always.
Once again, remember to…"Push through your day, Smile, Be Happy, Stay Positive!"
Be safe! Stay well!
Rob & Karen
Current COVID-19 Requirements
COVID-19 Guidelines at this moment are that effective August 16, 2021, all students, staff, and visitors – regardless of vaccination status – must wear masks indoors while in any Chelmsford Public Schools facilities. Face masks are not required: (1) when outside; or (2) when an individual works alone or in a segregated space; and (3) Student Lunch. Students will have mask breaks at teacher discretion during the day weather permitting. We will strive to have the students outside as much as possible during the day. As a reminder, currently there is not a remote option for any missed time out of the classroom.
If your student is absent from school for COVID related situations ONLY, teachers will provide any missed work in a bin that will be located in the front of the building. This system will ONLY be used for COVID related situations, not for typical illnesses normally attributed to the school year.
This year it will be more important to keep your child home if they are not feeling well, please practice precaution and have your student stay home. If you are dismissing your student from school, please ring the bell and your student will be brought to you. We are limiting the amount of non-school personnel in the building this year.
Additional COVID information and/or changes is consistently being evaluated and will be shared with families from the district level.
