Choir Guys Night!

Tonight is Guys night from 5:00-7:00pm! There will be pizza, games, and more! Students can bring $5 to purchase half of a pizza and a water bottle. We hope to see you there!

Voice Lessons

We still have a couple of spots available in our private voice studios for this semester, particularly in Belles and Dudes! This is an incredible opportunity for students to learn one-on-one with an experienced private instructor to grow as a musician, as well as gain confidence as an individual. The concentration on individualized vocal technique benefits students in all areas of vocal music, including Pop Show and Musicals.

We have two music-degreed private instructors who have performed on various stages throughout the world. During the school year, we have at least two solo competition opportunities for students to compete in, and a recital at the end of the year to showcase their talents to family and friends. The students who participate in a private voice studio will also benefit by including their successes in various competitions on their college application, regardless of their pursued major. In addition, many universities have scholarships for non-music majors that these students would be eligible for.

Students receive 23-minute lessons once a week, at a rate of $24 per lesson paid directly to the private instructor. This is a bargain in comparison to the usual $35-50 lessons from outside vocal coaches! Lessons occur during class time, so there is no conflict with after school tutorials or events. You may also use fundraising points to help cover voice lessons as well!

If your student is interested in beginning lessons, please let us know!

Worlds Finest Chocolate Fundraiser

If you have boxes of chocolate at home, please make sure you are selling the chocolate and returning the envelope and money to the Choir room.

Pop Show Advertisements

As crazy as it sounds, we are already halfway through the year, and Pop Show is just six weeks away. One of our traditions is our full-color program, and this is a great way to support the program while celebrating your student. You can purchase a variety of sizes of “ad space” in our program as a family or business. Below is the ad rate sheet for reference, and you can purchase your ad by clicking the link below.

Flag Fundraiser

Support our choir through our flag fundraiser. Choir students place flags throughout TMHS neighborhoods six holidays each year. You can check it out below!

Our next flag Holiday is February 11th.

Senior Scholarship

Each year TMCBC looks forward to awarding a number of scholarships to selected seniors who plan on continuing their education in the fall at an approved school of higher education. Applicants do NOT need to be music majors to apply for the scholarship.

The application, essay, and intent of attendance for college/university must be submitted to Mr. Ragsdale or Ms. White by Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted.

In order to qualify for consideration, each applicant must type a short essay (one to two pages) and attach it to the application. Students should NOT include their names on the essays themselves. The essay topics can be found on the application below. All essays will be submitted anonymously to and be reviewed by the TMCBC Scholarship Committee. Recipients will be announced at the end-of-year senior recognition concert.

Feel free to contact the TMCBC if you have any questions.
