The BGHS Blood Drive is Today!
Give the gift of life!
Beech Grove High School's Student Leadership Team will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, January 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We encourage all community members to participate and give the gift of life to a patient in need. The Red Cross has an emergency need for donated blood and you can help fulfill that need. Your donation will have an even greater impact as it will help raise money for the Student Leadership Team's Riley Dance Marathon. For each pint collected the Red Cross will donate $10 to the BGHS Riley Dance Team to support Riley Children's Hospital.
To sign up please visit the link below:

The event will be held at Beech Grove High School in the Main Gym. Community members can park in the west lot and enter through the athletic lobby stadium doors on the south side of the building. Students will be there to greet community members and escort them to check in.

Hornet's Cupboard at BGHS
From Teacher, Ms. Cassie Davidson . . .
"My students held a grand opening last week for a new project called the Hornet's Cupboard! This is a small shop run by the certificate track students to help teach them "job skills" and responsibilities they will hold after high school graduation. The students sell a variety of packaged food and drinks to teachers and staff at the high school. The Cupboard operates from 7:45-8:15 a.m. on Fridays."
Great job, students!
The challenge ends at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 25!
Hornets, it is time for the Chick-Fil-A Winter Challenge! The competition ends tomorrow (Friday, January 25) at 2 p.m. BE SURE TO TELL THE CHICK-FIL-A STAFF YOUR ORDER IS FOR BEECH GROVE!
While this challenge is really fun for the kids, it is also a HUGE fundraiser for our BGHS Champions Together Program. Champions Together is an organization that partners IHSAA and Special Olympics of Indiana together to provide an opportunity for our students of all ability levels to play, learn, and love athletics. A part of our role as a Champion School is to raise at least $1,500 for Special Olympics of Indiana. This is a goal we have surpassed for the last three years and hope to raise even more again this year. So, let's eat chicken! Thanks for your support!

INDIANA SENATE PAGE PROGRAM
Did you know you can take a day off from school to serve as a page for the Indiana Senate? State Senator Aaron Freeman invites students in grades 6-12 to come to the Statehouse and spend an exciting day seeing our state government in action. You will have the opportunity to tour the Statehouse, meet Senator Freeman, and observe the legislative session from the Senate floor. Siblings and friends can sign up together, too! Interested students can apply online at the Indiana Senate Republicans homepage:https://www.indianasenaterepublicans.com/page-program
