Students say- No More Straws!

When you walk into our cafeteria these days you will notice something different...no straws! Why? Because last year many students voiced their concerns to us about the use of straws and their negative impact on the environment. After studying about the ecosystem our students learned that nearly one million seabirds and thousands of sea mammals die every year from ingesting plastic straws. Their solution? Stop using them at Oak Terrace! We always appreciate student activism at work and agreed to put this plan into action. While this may cause some minor inconveniences for us, we support our students and believe it's worth it!
