A Triumphant Return!

The BJAMS art show is making a comeback! If you haven’t been to one, then you wouldn't know it is one of the schools biggest events, but if you know - you know! This year's theme is US National Parks. There will be more to come; this is to wet your whistle.

This amazing show cannot be realized without volunteers. You do not need to be an artist, just willing to jump in and roll your sleeves up. The focus of the volunteers is to build the backdrops that will highlight the students' artwork. We will not be taping pictures to the walls - we're talking full-blown, large scale installations here, folks!

It takes a full three days to construct and one very long night to dismantle it before school the next day.

Saturday 5/28; Sunday, 5/29; Monday 5/30; Tuesday 5/31 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM.

Contributions to Art Room

Mrs. O'Neil is hoping for donations of clean takeout containers, packing tape, leftover latex house paint, and fishing line. If you have any of these items, the Art Room (for all grades) would be most appreciative. Thank you!

No ASP on Tuesday, May 31

Due to the Art Show, we will not offer the After School Program to students.

BJAMS Volunteer Work Day Thank You

A very big thank you goes to the Collard and Hopkins families and Ed for working so hard last Saturday to spruce up our school so nicely. Together they did a tremendous amount of work:

pressure washed the front entrance; cleaned out entry grate and foyer; washed screens, windows and sills; hand washed floors!; spread straw on seeded areas; weeded flower beds; spread mulch; fertilized all over the place; trimmed hemlocks and lilacs; trimmed bushes; cut suckers from trees and bushes; power washed new addition entrance; stored salt buckets; swept rear entry pads and MORE if you can believe it!

Music Residency was a Hit!

Students will share in creative brainstorming and song lyric writing sessions. Once composed, lyrics will be put to melody, culminating in an original song.

Students will be performing their songs this afternoon from 2:10-2:50. We will be streaming the performance on YouTube Live for you to watch during the show or after!

Yearbooks are Here!

Yearbooks are going home with your eldest student today.

If you missed your chance to order early, you can still get a yearbook directly through shutterfly online. [Click here to place your order]
