WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Reading & Writing
Reading this week, we continued our read aloud, My Side of the Mountain. Learners are enjoying learning about surviving in the wilderness. We also started researching a topic in our reading Argument and Advocacy unit. They developed a research plan and started taking notes.
Math
In Math, learners continued unit 6 on coordinate planes. They were able to generate numerical patterns when given a rule in the form y=ax or y= x+a.
SCIENCE
In Science, learners examined the properties of soil.
SOCIAL STUDIES
In Social Studies this week, we learned about the inventors of the 19th century and their significance in the U.S. Learners also created a magazine cover that highlighted their inventor.
