Trojan Families,
Congratulations to the students who represented our school at the District Spelling Bee on February 2nd. We are proud of each of you. Thank you, Ms. Fishman, for working with the students to prepare them for the competition. The Spelling Bee representatives are: Makayla Figueroa, Kelci Garner, Taleah Gonzalez, Margaux Malalis, Sophia Orosco, Aasha Patel, Jennifer Reyes Arreola, Samantha Reyes, Malakai Santos, and Marjorie Shanahan.
Congratulations to 5th grade for winning the Attendance and Tardy Challenges this week. They had the least amount. Thank you for all you do, including sending your student(s) to school every day ready to learn. We appreciate the partnership!
Thank you to the parents who have already completed the 5Essentials Survey. The goal is to have at least 50% of families complete and submit a survey. As of today, there are only 17%.
If you have not submitted a survey, we ask that you scan or click the QR code here and complete it this weekend or as soon as possible. You can also access the letter below and use the link that is provided there. Thank you for your time to provide feedback because it will guide our improvement, and it be shared to the public on our school report published by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Growth Mindset
4th graders from Ms. Graf and Mrs. Minelli's classes have been learning how to use a Kendama. A Kendama is a Japanese skill toy used to develop hand eye coordination, balance, reflex, growth mindset, and focus. They learn different skills and tricks, while encouraging their classmates to keep trying!
