Mulready Elementary School Grade 1 Students Celebrate Favorite Book Series
Dory Fantasmagory is a chapter book series written by Abby Hanlon. Dory has such an imagination and goes on a lot of adventures with her real friends as well as her imaginary ones. Throughout the series, readers go on all of Dory’s adventures too! She encourages children to use their imagination and write about the world all around them. For the last ten days of school, Mulready Elementary first graders have been popping a balloon each day with a special surprise inside to help them celebrate the end of the school year. This week, they celebrated their favorite series: Dory Fantasmagory by dressing up as their favorite character.

Hudson Public Library's Summer Reading Program for Children
Summer reading is crucial for students to retain the skills and knowledge that they learned during the school year. Students who do not read over the summer months are at risk of falling behind their classmates who read. Parents can avoid this by encouraging their children to make time to read. Click here for information about Hudson Public Library's Summer Reading Program for Children.
