Dear Parents and Students,
As we reach the end of our second incredible school year at the Online Academy, I want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements and growth we have experienced together. This has truly been a remarkable year, where all of our students, from Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade, have found success in various aspects of their education – academically, emotionally, and socially.
I am immensely proud of the work we have accomplished as a community. Our collective efforts have resulted in remarkable accomplishments, such as increasing test scores and attendance rates, and actively participating in various school events throughout the year. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and, of course, our supportive parents.
I want to emphasize that this success is a result of the strong partnership between families and schools. Your unwavering support and active involvement in your child's education have played a crucial role in their progress. Your encouragement, guidance, and willingness to work together have made a significant impact on their academic journey.
However, as we celebrate these accomplishments, I must share some bittersweet news with you. As you may already know, this marks my final month as your Principal at the Online Academy. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve, working alongside the exceptional families, students, and staff here in District 6. I have cherished every moment spent with this remarkable community.
With mixed emotions, I have accepted the incredible opportunity to be the founding principal at RainDance Elementary in Windsor, CO opening in Fall of 2024. This once-in-a-lifetime chance allows me to embark on the exciting journey of building a brand new school from scratch. While I am eager to take on this new challenge, I cannot help but feel sadness as I say goodbye to the wonderful individuals that make up our learning community, especially the wonderful families, students, and staff I have had the privilege to work with at the D6 Online Academy.
As I bid farewell, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your trust, support, and cooperation throughout my tenure as Principal. I am eternally grateful for the memories we have shared and the progress we have made by building this amazing school together. I have no doubt that the Online Academy will continue to thrive and provide an exceptional education to its students under the leadership of Mr. Jorge Gonzalez, the newly appointed Principal who will begin his tenure in July, 2023. The remarkable faculty and staff are dedicated to the success and well-being of every student, and they will undoubtedly carry on the legacy of excellence we have established.
As we conclude this academic year, let us remember the journey we have taken together and celebrate the growth and achievements of our students. May this summer be filled with joy, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and I am confident that our paths will cross again.
With warm regards,
Mrs. Sheila Bowman

Now enrolling NEW STUDENTS for the 2023-24 school year!
Do you know someone who would be interesting in joining D6 Online Academy for the 2023-24 School Year? Please share the information below!
2023-24 OPEN ENROLLMENT IS NOW UNDERWAY FOR ALL SCHOOLS
Beginning Tuesday, November 1, Greeley-Evans School District 6 will accept applications for students who want to attend a school that is outside their boundary area.
Any parent or guardian interested in enrolling their child in a school outside their home boundary for the 2023-2024 school year must apply during the open enrollment period, which is November 1, 2022, through December 15, 2022. While District 6 is able to accommodate most open enrollment requests, it may not be able to approve requests for enrollment into schools, specific grade levels or special programs that are at or above capacity or cannot fulfill the specific needs of the student.
Parents will be notified via email of their student(s) open enrollment status prior to February 1, 2023. Parents have until February 28, 2023 to accept or deny an offer.
Students currently open-enrolled are eligible to stay at their current school through the highest grade offered at that school and do not need to apply yearly. Also, students approved for open enrollment to a school outside their home boundary, regardless of programming needs, will generally not be provided District 6 transportation services. Those open enrolling to the Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering from outside the boundary may be eligible for transportation services. Anyone living outside Greeley-Evans School District 6 may open enroll into a District 6 school, but will not be eligible for district transportation.
All open enrollment applications are online. Find out more at www.greeleyschools.org/openenrollment.
