"The courage to address tough topics comes from a deep commitment. No deep commitment, do hard dialogue." ~ Anthony Muhammad
With Apprecation:
- Thank you Holly for stepping up and representing LCES on the District's Wellness Committee.
- Much thanks to our team and especially to Darren for being flexible while Jen & Will were out this week. Thanks for working together to keep the fort down!
- Thanks to all staff that came to the PTC Playground Night - the families (and kids) loved the chance to interact with all of you. Jen got tons of complements about how wonderful our staff team is (which I already knew! :)
New Information/Things to Do:
- WORK ORDERS: Staff can access the work order for Markus on your staff drive under “CUSTODIAL WORK ORDER” folder. It is a typeable form then you can just email it to Markus.
- COLT PRIDE TICKETS: Please be sure your students put any tickets they've earned into a bucket (let Jen know if you need one) - we'll ask every staff member to pull 2 tickets on Friday, 9/15 in the morning; winning ticket holders will be invited to the red tables at morning recess on Friday to enjoy a special treat!
- SECRET PRIZE: in the bottom right drawer of the card catalog in the office, there is a fun surprise...there's only one...who's going to get it???

- MISSING STUDENT? If you are not certain where a student is (i.e. they don't return from lunch/recess/prep) but there was no note left for you or no one contacted you, please give the office a call so we can ensure we know where everyone is.

- a case for fewer trinkets and more explicit acknowledgement of a job well done or a choice well made - click here
- a case for rewarding behavior and not people - click here
- searchable list of potential incentives; sortable by cost, age range and perceived 'value'
Annie is using interactive science notebooks partnered with scientific inquiry to promote learning through discovery.
