Amendment VII: Jury trials in civil cases
- "In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury shall be otherwise reexamined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law."
- The meaning of this: The 7th amendment allows people to have the right to appeal , according to the court of law of the state.
Amendment X: Powers Kept by the state or the people
- "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
- This means: Having civil rights for people under the jurisdiction of state or federal law.
