Why Google Drawings?
Google Drawings is truly Google's hidden gem. Google Drawings is a creationary tool that can be used to have students interact with information in a engaging and unique way.
Examples
Alphabet Sort
2nd grade students were assigned a Google Drawings Template via Google Classroom and asked to sort and count letters that "lived" above and below the line.
Dewey Decimal Sort
4th and 5th grade students were assigned a Google Drawings Template via Google Classroom and asked to place the spine labels on the books in order.
Dot Day Creation
Using a free-form Google Drawings Template, students were asked to create their own dot in celebration of Peter Reynold's book The Dot and share how they would make their mark on their school.
Magnetic Poetry
Create "Magnetic Poetry" to encourage creative writing.
Math Problems and Breakout EDU Clues
Use Google Drawings to create division problems previously problematic in Google Docs. Or use Google Drawings to create clues for Breakout EDU.
