Description

Owls are giant living puff balls that fly around with big eyes that have a top and bottom and a third eyelid. They have large round heads with flat faces. They have sharp hooked beaks that they eat with.

Behavior

Owls eat mice, voles, rabbits, fish, small deer, monkeys, snakes, insets, skunks, and foxes. Baby owls are called owlets. Owlets hatch around 30 days!

Habitat

Owls find safe high places. Most owls live in holes, flat ledges, nest, and desert plants like a cactus. Elf owls live almost everywhere , but none live in Antarctica.
