Knights' News
November 17, 2020
St. Anthony Catholic School celebrates each individual as a unique child of God, provides a safe, Christ-centered environment that promotes cultural diversity, academic achievement, and challenges each of us to serve the school, parish, and community.
More than a school, we are a family.
Our 2020-2021 theme is Anchored in Faith
Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40
Thank you for helping us collect Thanksgiving Meals for those in need. We collected enough food for 25 families.
Thanksgiving Vacation
We do have aftercare on November 20.
Thankful Thursday NUT Day
Students should wear school appropriate clothes. Please see the handbook for any questions about appropriate school dress on NUT Days.
Walk-a-thon NUT Day Friday!
Cold Weather Uniform Guidelines
Students in Kindergarten to grade 8 may wear St. Anthony gray, black, or burgundy logo uniform sweatshirts during the cold months in the classroom. Jackets may be worn outside but not in the classroom. On cold days, students may wear a solid white long sleeve t-shirt or turtleneck under the knit shirt. On cold days, students may wear black or gray sweatpants and the gray, black, or burgundy uniform sweatshirt (with logo) to PE.
We will announce jeans days for cold weather when necessary. Risse Brothers sells long pants for girls and boys. Girls may wear black, white, burgundy, or gray leggings or tights under the skort.
We have additional sweatshirts available for purchase at school.
COVID Update
If your child is not feeling well or is sick, please keep him or her home. You have done a great job communicating with us. Please continue sending notes when returning from absences and calling or emailing when keeping a student at home.
We do not have working water fountains at school. Please make sure your child comes to school with water from home. We are accepting donations of cases of water for those emergency situations when a child needs water. You can leave the water in the school office.

The Great Ornament Adventure
Each family is invited to create one ornament and bring it to school to hang on the office tree. The ornaments should reflect the theme.
What does your family have to give during this Advent and Christmas Season?
Advent Time, Talent, and Treasure
Advent, November 29-December 24, is a busy time with many opportunities to share our
Time, Talents and Treasures!
Our Catholic Social Teachings remind us that God made us to be part of communities, families, and countries, so all our people can share and help each other. This year as we are learning about Advent, we are focusing on the ways we can open our hearts and prepare for the Birth of Jesus.
Join us this season, choose one or choose them all.
The AmazonSmile Foundation recently surpassed $200 million in donations to charities worldwide! We can benefit from this too!
