Friends of Scouting

Remember how all the scouting troops had to go to different camps because Camp Lawson didn't have any water last summer? Well, because people donate to Friends of Scouting, they have a great new water system, so that can't happen again!

Scouts Day at The Phoenix Symphony

Scouts who attend in uniform will receive a limited-edition “Scout Day” patch prior to the Musical Fablesconcert

Who: Arizona’s Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and The Phoenix Symphony orchestra under the baton of resident conductor, Joseph Young.

What: The Musical Fables concert and pre-concert activities provide Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts the opportunity to earn credit toward music and pet merit badges. The pet merit badge is supported by activities from PetSmart, sponsor of the Musical Fables concert. Scouts who attend in uniform will receive a limited-edition “Scout Day” patch. Where: Pre-concert activities at 1:30 p.m. at Symphony Hall

When: Saturday April 28, 2012

Why: Musical Fables, a concert that combines a love of reading with a love of music in order to promote literacy, captivates the audience with Aesop’s fables including childhood favorites like The Tortoise and The Hare, Goldilocks and The Three Bears and Cinderella. Each character in the suite is represented by a musical instrument and narration.

Half Scouting/Half Missionary

To celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Church joining BSA, we are going to be putting our own personal testimonies in 100 Books of Mormon, and give them to the missionaries to give to people; unless you have a friend you'd like to give one to!
