The B.Y.E. Buzz
April 25, 2022
Notes from the office
Wow! Our kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade students made amazing growth on their MAP literacy and math assessments this week. The week of April 25th will be Aspire testing for 3rd-5th grade students. Please make sure your child is getting good rest, a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school on time so they can do their BEST! You may hear your child talking about our incentives for good testing behaviors (arrive at school on time, take your time, answer all the questions, keep to yourself so all students can focus).
Summer Camp Opportunities
Find summer camp opportunities here! These are organized through the district.
Library Books/Computer Fines
You can now pay for lost/damaged library books or technology devices online- https://osp.osmsinc.com/SpringdaleAR
We Need Your Plastic
Okay- we need about 400 more containers!!! Please help us because time is running out. As a reminder, we need #2 plastics that are not see-through (no more clear milk jugs). Usually, coffee containers, cleaners, liquid body soap/shampoo, and detergents are made with this kind of plastic; even the Chick-fil-A and Subway Milk containers count! We also noticed that some pill containers are #2 recyclable material. Keep them coming-- we hate to miss out on a free bench for our school.
Who Are You Buzzing About?
Starting this week, we will be giving out Buzz Awards to our Young teachers and staff. We need YOU to help us recognize those who go above and beyond for our school. As you go through the week, feel free to nominate staff who do extraordinary things! If you see or hear something that is worthy of a Buzz Award, simply fill out this quick form to nominate someone. Awards will be given out each Friday.
