The Principal's POV on...our Hacking School Discipline PLC!

Creating responsibility, repairing the harm, righting the wrong & building relationships. This has been the backbone of my approach to school discipline from day one...and it's the backbone of this text! Is is a quick fix? No, but are there any quick fixes as we work to meet student needs?

So far this year, we have "doubled-down" on student coaches, peer mentors, and (most recently) enlisted some students to reflect on their behavior by writing SEL stories! The results have been game changing and has helped to ensure that we turn mistakes into learning moments for our students.

Thank you to everyone for your engagement during this month's Hacking School Discipline PLC & to everyone that will be participating in our book group! Book have been ordered, so stay tuned...and click here to view our padlet to see everyone's contributions to our dialog. Thank you for a fantastic week & have a great weekend!
