Where was he born and when?

February 12, 1809, Abraham Lincoln was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky. He grew up in a poor family. They lived in Kentucky and Indiana. He only attended school for one year, but strived to improve his mind and furthered his education

Where did he live throughout his life?

As an adult he lived in Illinois. He had many different jobs, including stints as a postmaster, surveyor, and shopkeeper. He then proceeded to get involved in politics, and soon served on Illinois legislature, from 1834 to 1836, and after that he became an attorney.

What were his greatest accomplishments?

Some of his greatest accomplishments are that he led the American Civil War. He help ended slavery. He also, kept the American Union from splitting apart during the war.

Was he part of certain a political party?

Abraham was a part of the Republican party, and was indeed the first Republican to be elected president. The party nominated Lincoln for president. It selected former Senator Andrew Johnson for vice president.

What year was he elected president and what number president was he?

He was the 16th president to be elected. He only received 40% of the popular vote, but vastly defeated his 3 opponents. Lincoln had lost the Senate race, but his campaign had brought a lot of attention to the growing republican party.
