Rockin' the Test!
This is the tentative schedule for testing the next couple weeks. We will be testing mainly in the morning and giving our brains a break in the afternoon.
The test is broken up into 4 sections:
- Language Arts Adaptive Test
- Language Arts Performance Task (short answer and essay writing)
- Math Adaptive Test
- Math Performance Task
Please do your best to make sure that your child is well-rested, well-fed, and super encouraged this week! Testing can sometimes come with some anxiety, so any encouragement you can give them to go into this week with confidence and determination can make a big difference.
Thank you!
Snack Break!
If you would like to donate any snacks to help with this, it would be greatly appreciated! Some ideas:
- crackers (goldfish, ritz, etc.)
- pretzels
- fruit snacks
They just need to be individually packaged and follow the district's nutritional guidelines.
If you don't want your child to eat the provided snacks for any reasons, just let me know
Zoo Field Trip!
- Make sure your child puts on some sunscreen and some comfy walking shoes. It's going to be a long day of walking outside!
- Although we love being green, please send your child's lunch in a disposable container or paper bag if possible.
End of School Daze
With the finish line in sight, some more rowdy and talkative behaviors can sometimes begin to surface. Please take a minute to remind your child about the behavior of successful students both inside and outside the classroom, and talk about how we can end the year ready to be successful 4th graders.
