Welcome Back from Mrs. Smith, Principal
Dear Gator Families,
I am excited to welcome our new and returning students and families to the upcoming 2023 - 2024 school year as your new principal! I truly hope you enjoyed a much needed summer to reconnect with your loved ones through talking, laughing, and experiencing the small moments that make this life great. I know that I was more intentional than ever to truly be present with my family and friends.
Our skilled and devoted staff have been preparing the school for our students and are excited for their arrival on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 9th. Our goal is to provide the safest learning environment for both our students and staff.
I would like to introduce a few additions to our Admin team this year. We are delighted to welcome Margaret Loucks, as our new assistant principal and Karla Floyd, as our new school counselor. These new faces come with many years of work experience that will contribute to our school community, helping to make it a successful year.
When the school year is underway you will be receiving regular newsletters, notices, and updates from the school. Please be sure to check your email, child(ren)’s backpacks Glen Loch’s Facebook page so you can stay current with upcoming events and the high-level learning taking place in our community.
I look forward to another wonderful school year and growing better together!
Kris Smith
Principal

All Things Transportation
The First Day... August 9, 2023
Our first day of school is quickly approaching! We cannot wait to have our Gators back in our classrooms! We will not be counting tardies the first day of school.
Please use the crosswalks as the first day is a busy day. Please drive slowly throughout the parking lot. If you are parking to walk your child inside, use the parking spaces between the school and the church.
We know some of our Gators may need extra help getting to their classrooms the first day of school. One parent will be allowed to walk their child to class on the first day of school to help ease this process. Please drop your child off at the classroom door and your teacher will welcome them into the classroom and get them settled. Beginning on the 2nd day of school parents will no longer be able to walk their students to class.
We also encourage you to utilize the bus service if you live outside the one-mile perimeter of the school.
Doors open daily at 7:30 AM. Our official school time will be 8:00 to 3:10. The tardy bell will ring at 8:00 and dismissal will begin at 3:10.
First Day Dismissal
- We will start dismissal 20 minutes early at 2:50 PM on the first day of school.
- The car rider line is usually very long the first few days of school, please be patient.
- After the first few days of school the car line is usually completed by 3:30 PM and tends to go pretty quickly even though the line appears long.
- We encourage bus service for those living outside one mile of the campus.
- Scroll down for more detailed car rider information including where to line up and where to place green car sign.
