the Embargo Act was a law passed by the United States congress signed by Thomas Jefferson. this act prohibited American ships from trading foreign ports. You couldn't trade with anyone pass Jefferson because it would cut off war supplies for fighting countries.

William Marbury was a highly successful American businessman and one of the "Midnight Judges."Marbury also was a plaintiff in the landmark 1803 Supreme Court. James Madison established the Democratic-Republican party with Thomas Jefferson. He also became the fourth President in 1808. Madison wrote the first drafts of the US constitution , and he wrote Federalist papers. The Supreme Court decided for them to be unconstitutional and the Supreme Court had the power of Judaical rule.
